General Election Results For Christchurch

At the General Election in Christchurch on 7th June 2001, 49567 votes were cast (approximately 67% of the total number of eligible voters) with the following result:

55.1%

Christopher Chope (Conservative): 27306 votes.

27.8%

Dorothy Webb (Liberal Democrat): 13762 votes.

15.1%

Judith Begg (Labour): 7506 votes.

Margaret Strange (UK Independence Party): 993 votes.
